The early summer of 2010, I had the opportunity to visit the Northern Rockies. The trip included Glacier National Park in the US, and then onto Banff and Jasper National Parks in Canada. It certainly lived up to expectations, with snow capped mountains and turquoise colored lakes. Unfortunately, the glaciers have shrunk quite a bit over the last few decades, and some were gone altogether.
