In the fall of 1981, I traveled to China for two weeks. I visited Hong Kong, Hang Chow, Shanghai, Suzhou, Nanjing, Beijing and Guangzhou. It was an amazing trip. Few westerners had visited at that time, and the Chinese people were very curious and friendly. It was a great experience to see such an ancient culture.
